Public Notice OXYGEN IS LIFE. ALTHOUGH the modern Materia Meili<includes many valuable remedie or human afflictions, itis a matter of certaint, tbat in all cases, where the animal vitality i falling, Phosphorus is decidedly superior t any other remedy at present known. It wil work effects such as nothing else will produce and it possesses the great advantage of no causing, when its use is relinquished, tin slightest action or depression. The question naturally presents itself 'Wb"j is so valuable an element jo little regarded and so seldom prescribed," The only answei which can be given is : — That a certair iifficulty has bei J found in so preparing il that its action must be kept .—ier perfeel .-ontr-il. Hitherto it nas been used in almond md olive ous. in 6ul ph. uric ether, in rectified ilcohol, in chloroform, -fuitit— aeveNlotbei lubstances ; but howeverW' ible it has been ound in all tho hitherto know methods ol ts preparation, certain irregular results have ■teen experienced, which have led physicians o neglect it ior general purposes, and to employ it ouly in extreme cases and after every other remedy has failed. But a chemical process has now been discovered, by which its invaluable action on the human system may be realised withou any of those drawbacks which previous modes of administration have invariably produced, H3T CAUTlON. —Phosphorus i s sometimes sold in the form of Pills and Lozenges ; it should be generally known: hat every form where solid particles of Phosphorus are in combination is dangerous.
