JUST-IN-TIME.
Six men are engaged sinking the north winze, which has been deepened 7 feet during the week, bringing the whole down to over 80 feet. The reef here is 3 feet thick, showing very fair payable gold. Stoping is being done in the south block as well as sinking in the Boatman's Creek level, where some very good stone is found in the winze. A rise is also started for another stope in the south block. This rise will be carried up to the next level, and will afterwards be used as a pass.
