Gladstone will on Sunday next introduce in the House of Commons a motion of whicii he gave notice last week for the adoption of new rules to govern tbe procedure of Parliament, including cloture.

In the Commons to-day Gladstone took occasion to say that his speech during the debate on Smtyhe's motion for the establishment of Home Rule for Ireland, was intended as an incitement to the Irish to continue their agitation for Home Rule, and added

that he was not prepared to give selfgovernment to Ireland in a greater de gree than to England and Scotland. Sydney, February 17. The return match between the English Eleven, and Eleven of New South Wales was commenced here today. The English went first to the wickets, and were all disposed of for 133.
