DEVIL'S CREEK.
GOLDEN HOPE. A meeting of shareholders in the above company was held at Mr Wise's office on Saturday evening. A majority of shareholders being present. Mr Roulston was voted to the chair. It was decided to register the company under the Mining Companies' Act, in 24,000 shares at £1 each ; 10s. being considered paid-up. A code of rules was adopted, and Mr Wise was appointed legal manager. Messrs Treloar, Craig, Roulston, Dowsing, and Seabright, were appointed directors, and Mr Faler was elected auditor. At a meeting of directors held subsequently, it was resolved that the work now on hand be continued — three men to be employed under the supervision of Mr A. W. Thompson. In a former issue, the situation of the claim in Darkies Gully, Devil's Creek, was described, also the prospects and mode of working.
