(from oub own correspondent.) London, April 2. Dr Lawson, the Wimbledon murderer, has been respited through the exertions of the United States Government, who alleged that Lawson is insane. April 3. Sir Henry Parkes has been warmly received in England. He was entertained at dinner by the Institution of Civil Engineers. A terrible collision is reported on the west coast of Spain, in the neighborhood of Cape Finnesterre between two steamers. Both foundered with a large majority of the passengers and crew of each. 78,000 persons have emigrated from Ireland in 1884. ft ihilism is supposed to be spreading through the Russian army to a great extent. to the circumstances of the murder of Lieut Luckraft by the Islanders of New Hebrides. The boat's crew are alleged to having deserted him when attacked. Melbourne, A pril 3. M'Closkey, bank manager at Richmond, attempted suicide by shooting himself to-day.
