Two girls were married in Victoria last year at 14 years of age, 8 at 15, 46 at 16, and 146 at 17 ; 263 youths under 21 were also married during that period. Hares are so numerous in South Canterbury, that there will be some difliculty in running off the Waterloo Cup, the probability being that the competing dogs will each be able to select a hare to follow, and thus interfere with the proper disposal of each event
