BOATMANS LOW LEVEL TUNNEL.
The tunnel now being driven will pabs through the ground held by the Welcome No. 2, Occidental, Homeward Bound, and Specimen Hill Companies, and its length will be 2305 feet. The work is to be driven jointly by the companies named. A contract has already been let for 600 feet, and during the progress of this contract it is contemplated to erect rockboring machinery. The tunnel is being taken in on the same level as the No. C level of the Welcome Company.
