Public Notice OXYGEN IS LIFE. ALTHOUGH the modern Materia Medica includes many valuable remedies or human afflictions, itis a matter of certainty that in all cases, where the animal vitality ib falling, Phosphorus is decidedly superior to any other remedy at present known. It will work effects such as nothing else will produce, and it possesses the great advantage of not sausing, when its use is relinquished, the slightest action or depression. The question naturally presents itsolf 'Why is so valuable an element so little regarded and so seldom prescribed," The only answer which can be given is : — That a certain lhat its adtionv must be' kept : uiiq%#eraip b*6nt»l^^itberto -itvhiw -been; nse^i^-iStfiioh^ ;knd.;olive bilsi ;ih'stidph*arie ethef^in'reotiißied ulcohol, in chloroform^ and in several other iubstances ; but however valuable it has been ■■■•• ound in all the hitherto know methods of "ts preparation, certain irregular results have been experienced, which have led physicians o- neglect it for general purposes, and to employ it o-uly in extreme cases and after every other remedy has failed. But a chemical process has now been discovered, by which its invaluable action on the human system may bo realised withou any of those drawn backs which previous mode 3of administration havo invariably produced, l^° CAUTION. — Phosphoruai a sometimes sold in tho form of Pills and Lozenges ; it should be generally known: ha every form where solid particles of Phosphorus are in combination is dangerous. It ia therefore necessary that the public should be cautionod against the use of any preparation of Phosphorus not perfeotly soluble in water. Protected by Royal Letter Patent. NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION, CHRISTCHURCH. Those that wish to be represented at the International Exhibition to be held in Christchurch in March next, should inform us of their intention. We have been connected with all the international Exhibitions held in tho colonies, At the lato Adelaide Exhibition we represented 50 exhibitors, for whom we received 10 gold medals, 49 first, and one second, awards, three of which were New Zealand firms, (D. Strang and J. T. Martin, Invers cargill, and G.Bevan, Wellington.) Oar plan is to represent tlio exhibitors, transact their business, fix tiie exhibit in its space, attend to the judging of exhibits and anything necessary while the Exhibition remains open, and at the clcse repack and send their goods back, or sell them or duplicates thereof if required. It ia very inconvenient for Exhibitors to have to attend the Exhibition to fix their exhibits, and causes them not ouly loss of money which they must necessarily expend on them, then again the exhibitors have a benefit, they have no trouble iD getting space, they inform us how much is required, and we secure it for them as wa have a large amount granted to us. Wo fix, &c, the exhibits on a better space than if they applied. Our terms are moderate. We specially caution the public against giving their exhibits to so called Exhibition agents, who have been tlie rounds of all tho Exhibitions, aud run exhibitors into debt and other difficulty. — Albert S, Manders and Company, British and Colonial Manufacturers^ Agents; Head Office, 91 Little Collins street, East Melbourne j 67 King William street, Adelaide; Town Hall, Perth, Western Australia ; Permanent Branca in Christchurch.— Ai>yi.
