(from our own correspondent.} London, May 25. The Australian cricketers com menced their fourth match to-day, at Kensington ( )val, against eleven of the County of Surrey. Surrey went first to the wickets and were all disposed oi f0r. 170. Read was the highest scorei with 49. Boyd bowled splendidly foi the Australians, taking six wickets for 52 runs. When the stumps were drawn for the day the Australians hac made nine runs without losing i wicket. The attendance at the matel was moderate. In the House of Commons last night the Irish Kepression Bill was agaii . under discussion on the second reading. An amendment proposed by Mi Cowen, the member for N^ewcastle-on-Tyne, was, after long debate, nega tived on a division by a substantia majority, and the House then went into Committee of the whole on the Bill In the course of the debate which fol lowed, Parnell took occasion to refer tc the statement made by Dillon on tin previous night, that as evictions were continuing in Ireland he must refuse tc denounce the commission of the out rages against the landlords. Parnell considerably modified Dil lon's remarks. He declared he could not agree, and concluded by condemn ing in strong terms the perpetration oi agrarian outrages and " Boycotting." The consideration of the Bill in committee was adjourned to next sitting. The Oaks was run at Epsom to-day, and resulted as follows: — Geheimnesse 1 ; St. Marguiret, 2 ; Nelly, 3. Melbourne, 27. The Victorian Government offer a reward of £2,000 for information lead ing to the discovery of the perpetrators of the dynamite explosion at Prahran on the 18th instant.
