SOUTH BRITISH.
Two hands have been employed during the past tea days trenching upon this company's lease. The directors will meet on the 3rd proximo, when it is likely that it will be decided to drive a tunnel 250 or 300 feet west, for the purpose of intersecting three distinct lines of reef exposed on the surface. It is thought that the United Alpine Company's reef may also be met with in the driving.
