(from our own correspondent.)
London, June 6.
The match at Bradford, between the Australian team and eleven of Yorkshire County, was commenced to-day. The Australians went first to the wickets and were all put out for 128. Murdock was caught for 41. His playing was much admired, although the bowling of the Englishmen was dead on the wickets and their fielding excellent, he did not give them a single chance. The Home team then went in for their first innings- and, when stumps were drawn, had scored 110 runs for the loss of four wickets; Lockwood contributed 44. The attendance of visitors was enormous.
