THE MISSING MAN PAUL.
TO THE EDITOR INANGAHUA TIMES. Sir,—Noticing an advertisement in your paper offering a reward of £10 for the recovery of the body of a man named Paul, supposed to be drowned, I may mention that about the same time as your first report appeared regarding his disappearance, I was walking on "the Buller and Nelson road, about five miles above Lyell, and such a man, about five feet 10, medium build, rather sallow complexion, black whiskers, and dressed in a dark (either black or blue) suit. On returning to my residence at Anglesea Terrace, a few minutes after, a man staying there, an old resident of Reefton, asked me if I had seen Paul pawing, saying he knew him well. He had no swag, and was going on towards Nelson ; but as nothing had then appeared in the papers, we thought no more of it. I think this may prove a clue to hia whereabouts. However, it is at your service. Yours truly, T. J. METCALFE. Boatman's, 11th June, 1882.
