The question is one of great importance to Tauranga, as a strong attempt is being made in various quarters to get the bulk of the traffic through Auckland and Cambridge. The owners of all the principal hairdressing and shaving saloons in Dunedin have determined to close their establishments at 8 p.m., Saturday excepted. To show that the owners of these saloons are sincere in the matter they have agreed to pay a penalty of £5 for every beach committed of the agreement they have entered into.
