We publish tin* morning the Financial Btatonient, as delivered by the Colonial Treasurer in the House, on Friday evening last. Some excitement was caused in town on Saturday eveuihg in consequence of the contractors in the Gorge Company's mine, IJoatman's, arriving in town with the intelligence that a reef 2ft. in thickness had been met with in the tunnel. The stone is paid to be gold-bearing, and the discovery is one upon which the shareholders may be congratulated. Considerable activity was manifest in the aharemarket on Saturday evening, lioyals, Njl Dosperandums, Eclipses, Imperials, Gorans, and one or two other lines uuing in lint demand, ' Keep>it-Dark retnrns for the week : — 354£0z amalgam, from 198 tons, from the lop platea.
