BALLARAT.
This property, wliich comprises 33 acres, adjoins the United Victory south, and is beginning to come into prominence, owing to the permanent appearance of the reef as it is opened out south 'in the ground of the latter. A couple of hands were employed for a short time trenching on tlnrsurface, and several blocks of goldbearing stone were met with, but owing to the recent snow operations were discontinued.- It is now intended to have a survey made of the line of reef from the I'nitcd Victory workings, in order to determine where the lode should enter the Ballarat ground, after which definite operations will be decided upon.
