RAINY CREEK.
"* i]N T KEI&MA 1 N T . - The Xo.-3 level, which is the lowest in tha mine, has now been driven G9 feet l>y the contractors, Treasure and Gabriel ; this makes about 400 feet now in from the surface. The country is favorable for driving, and is described as good slate formation, with a lot of quartz leaders, forming a nice looking country. There yet remains 450 feet to lie driven before the perpendicular of the winze is reached, but with the present good indications other lodes may, and probably will, be discovered. ! The mine manager still continues to open the coal mine by wages-men.
