News from this mine continues of a very encouraging nature. The rise is now up adistahcoof 3s> feet, the reef being 3ft Gin thick, and; tyhtffeountry of an excellent' fonnatidil^^jfflfcf directors have sent out MrE.W. Butler to make a general survey of the mine and reef, and also to lay off a race to supply water for air blast, which is about to be erected. He will also gauge the water supply of Tichborne Creek, with a vieAyto determining its capacity for driving a turbine, as' this class of motive power will probably be adopted by the company when erecting crushing machinery.
