GOLDEN TREASURE.

I Good progress continues to be made with the sinking of the main shaft, which is now down something over 30ft. The country is easy and of a promising character quartz leaders being occasionI ally met with in the sinking. As the shaft is going down in maiden country these indications are significant and the striking of a new run of stone is quite on the cards. Preparations are being made in the mine to drive northwards, and the work will probably be started this week. There has been nothing doing at the battery during the week.
