Consolation Handicap — Of 20 soys. Distance, 1 mile. Post entries, 1 soy. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Night of general entry— 2oth December, 1882, up to 8 p.m. The term " West Coast " to be under stood as including the Counties of Inangahua, Grey, Westland, and Buller. Horses to be qualified to enter for any of the West Coast events must have been bona fide owned and located in either of the Counties named onto the Bth September, 1882. The term "Inangahua County horse" to mean a horse bona fide owned and located within the lounty of Inangahua from the Bth September, 1882. No entry will be received for any of the races except on this condition : — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising put of the racing shall be decided by the stewards, whoso decisions upon all points connected with the carryingout of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to tho Secretary. Entrance money and^ qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner and colours of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. on 20th December, 1882. No person will be allowed to enter a, horse for any race unless he be a subscriber to the race fund of not less than 2 boys. Hack races excepted. In the event of any person entering a protest, "the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Three horses must accept for each event or the public money will not be given Mares allowed 31bs, gelding 21bs throughout the year. Stakes paid less 5 per cent. Puucdin Jockey Club Rules. li. J.
