Night of general entry — 20th December, 1882, up to 8 p.m. The term " West Coast " to be under stood as including the Counties of Inangahua, Grey, Westland, and Buller. No entry will be received for any of the races except on this condition : — That -all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racjpg shall be decided by tho stewards, whose decisions upon all points connected with thecarryingout of this programme shall be final. All eutries" to sealed and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money and qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and; .pedigree of tho horse, name of the owner and colours of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p. m. on 20th December 1882. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race unless he bo a subscriber to the race fund of not les3 than 2 soys. Hack races excepted. In the event of any person entering a protest, tho sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before sucl^. protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious.
