CALEDONIAN. A portion of the winding machinery gave way recently, and orders were forwarded to the Grey mouth foundry to supj ply new work. Fortunately the extension ! of the cross-cut toward the line of reef has not been suspended in consequence, j the only inconvenience arising is, no winding can be done, until repairs are efiesed. .^ . . ._ .
