HOPEFUL.
The mining manager, Mr Bates, is now engaged effecting the necessary preliminaries previous to commencing work in the mine. Mr Gardner has been defining the boundary between the Welcome and Hopeful, and it is the intention of the company, as soon as possible, to commence work on the north boundary, :it the f;uvs that will be left open by the Welcome Company. Negotiations are
pending between the company and directors of the Crushing Company for future crushings, which it is hoped will be conclnded satisfactorily.
