NEW CREEK.
UNITED VICTORY. News from this mine is of a satisfactory characteiv£\Thc mine is fully manned, and the reef is being operated upon at several points. In the southern face of the intermediate level, which is in GO feet from < the winze, the reef is of the usual avgrage thickness. In the northern end of this level the reef is about a foot iu thickness. Stopes are being risen also from the intermediate level towards No. 1 level, alongside the winze. At this reef is about, three feet in thickness. The rise from No 1 level is now within about 20 feet of the surface. In all the fanes there is a fair show of gold. There is now a largo parcel of stone broken out, and almost all the available storage room is occupied. The very broken weather prevailing considerably retards work outside, and is causing much delay in the construction of the race. All the material is about ready, and a few fine days would see matters wel^Nforward towards the commencemetslW; crushing operations.
