UNITED VICTORY.
A full complement of hands are engaged breaking down the reef and further opening up this mine. The reef in the various faces maintains its usual dimensions and gold-bearing character. The rise between No. 1 level and the surface was holed through this week. At the battery everything is ready for a start, with one exception,' that being the nonarrival of blanketings and nettings, which could only be obtained in Nelson, and which have been detained by the bad whether. These are expecttd to-day and it is probable the stampers will be set in (notion on Monday. There being a large parcel of stone broken out, and the mine being capital trim, crushing should go ahead without intermission for an unlimited period.
