Distance mile heats (without dismounting.) Post entries, l£ soys. 3. Inangahua Cup Handicap —Of 110 soys ; second horse to receive 10 soys. from the stake. Distance, 2 miles ; nominations of 3 soys. received up to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, 15th November, 1882 ; weights to be declared on the Ist December, and acceptances of 4 soys. to be made up to 8 p.m. on the 20th December, 1882. 4. Novel Race Handicap — Of 20 soys. Distance, 1| miles ; nominations, £ soy. acceptance, 1 soy. The winner to be sold immediately after the race, and the entire proceeds to go to the race . fund. Hack Race Handicap — Of 15 soys. Distance, l£ miles. Post entry, 1 soy. 3. Reefton Jockey Club Handicap — Of 80 soys. Distance, If miles ; second horse to receive 10 soys. from the stake : nominations, 2 soys., acceptances, 3 boys., as per second day's Hurdle Handicap. 4. GOLDFIELDS HANDICAP— Of 40 SOYS. Distance, If miles ; second horse to receive 5 soys. from the stake. (Open to West Coast horses only.) Nomination 1 soy., received up to 8 p.m. on the 26th December, 1882. Weights to be declared, and acceptances of 2 boys., made on the course immediately after the R. J.C. Handicap has been run. 5. County Handicap — Of 30 soys. Consolation Handicap — Of 20 soys. Distance, 1 mile. Post entries, 1 soy. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Night of general entry — 20th December, 1882, up to 8 p.m. The term " West Coast " to be under stood as including the Counties of Inangahua, Grey, Westland, and Buller. Horses to be qualified to enter for any of the West Coast events must have been bona fide owned and located in either of the Counties named up to the Bth September, 1882. The term "Inangahua County horse" to mean a horse bona fide owned and located within the County of Inangahua from the Bth September, 1882. No entry will be received for any of the races except on this condition : — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the stewards, whose decisions upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money and qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner and colours of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. on 20th December. 1882. No person will be allowed to enter a horse for any race unless he be a subscriber to the race fund of not less than 2 soys. Hack races excepted. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Three horses must accept for each event or the public money will not be given Mares allowed 31bs, gelding 21b3 throughout the year. Stakes paid less 5 per cent. Dunedin Jockey Club Rules. R. J.
