BALLARAT AND REPUBLIC.
These leases, which adjoin the "Victory on the south and north respectively, are about being manned, surveys of the course of the Victory reef having been completed this week. Mr Butler, C.E., has taken the bearings, and laid off sites for levels, and it is probable that tenders will be called for these works at an early date.
