Night of general entry — 20th December, 1882, up to 8 p.m. The term " West Coast " to be under stood as including tlie Counties of Inanfahua, Orey, Westland, and Buller. lorses to be qualified to enter for any of i the West Coast events must have been - bona fide owned and located in either of the Counties named up to the Bth September, 1882. The terra "Inangahua County horse" to mean a horse bona fide owned and located within the * ounty of Inangahua from the Bth September, 1882. o entry wi 11 be received for any of the races except on this condition : — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the stewards, whose decisions upon all points connected with thecarryingout of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary. Entrance money and qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner and colours of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. on 20th December 1882. No peraon will be allowed to enter a horso for any race unless he bo a subscriber to the race fund of not less than 2 soys. Hack races excepted. In the event of any person' entering a' protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious.
