Night of general entry — 20th December, 1882, up Ut 8 p.m. The term "West Coast " to be under stood as including the Counties of Inaugahua, Grey, Westland, and Buller. Homes to be qualified to enter for any of the West Coast events must have been bona fide owned and located in either of •the Counties named up to the Bth September, 1882., The term "Inangahua County horse" to mean a horse bona fide owned and located within the « ounty of Inangahua from the Bth September, 1882. No entry will be received for any of the races except on this condition : — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, whose decixions upon all points connected with the carrying out of thia prograinmo shall be final. All entries t<» be sealed and addressed to the Secretary. Entrauce money and qualification enclosed, with the name, age, and pedigree of thohorse, name of the owuer and colours of the rider, and delivered not later than 8 p.m. on 20th December 1882. No person will be allowed to enter a Itorsu for any race unless he bo a snbtev rihev to the race fund of not less than ii flovs. Hack mcuH excepted. Tn tho event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must lie lodged with the Secretary before such protest ia considered, this sum to Ikj forfeited to tlie funds should the Stewards consider the pmtest frivolous or vexatious.
