Mr Wakefield appears to have made good use of his stay in the Grey Valley. On Friday evening, he addressed a crowded meeting of the electors at. Taylorville, Brunnerton, where he met with a very favorablo reception, and at the close of his meeting a strong working committee was organised to secure his return. Mr Joseph Taylor-

On Saturday evening he addressed the electors at Kelson Creek, Mr Ellis iv the chair, and there was an attendance of about a hundred and twenty. Mr Wakefield spoke for an hour and a half upontheleading political topics of the day and was listened to with marked attention throughout, At the close of his address he answered a number of, questions, and on the motion of Mr M'Carthy, seconded by Mr Gochorane, a vote of confidence was carried, unanimously.
