Fiuday, May 4. ' Last week's return of amalgam from iihe plates, berdan, and' skimmings was ■84ozs. 14dwts. This being also the general monthly cleaning up, the boxes and ripples were examined, and 139 T>z 15 dwt of amalgam were obtained, making the total for the week 2210zs <sdwts. The amalgam collected during the month was 4270z 14dwt, yielding 1360z cf retorted gold. The quantity -of quartz reduced for the month wa3 188 tons. MrH.
