A deputation of several Presbyterian Ministers and members of Parliament waited upon James Service to-day to urge the importance of the Colonies uniting to move the Imperial Government to annex -JNew Hebredies, Solomon Island, ahd'New Britain or to establish a Protectorate over the groups. The ' Premier in replying stated, that he believed that it was England's special mission to civilise and elevate the dark races, and promised that he would consult his colleagues in the matter, and take steps to further the views of the deputation as far as possible.
