CALEDONIAN EXTENDED.
The adjourned half-yearly meeting of shareholders of this company was held at Mr Wise's Office, on Friday last, Mr P. Murphy in the chair. The directors and mine managers reports, as well as the balance-sheet were read and adopted, and Messrs Murphy, Gissing, Watkins, Horn and Moss, were appointed directors, and J. M' Sherry auditor. The report showed that the main level from the bottom of the 200 ft. shaft is now driven along the line of reef to within about 70ft. of the proved position of No. 2 South Larry's reef at that level. The company is working under great difficulties, the pumps having to be kept constantly going. Another great drawback is the almost inaccessible position of the mine, but this will be shortly remedied by the horse track now in course of construction from Boatman's.
