Public Notice OXYGEN IS LIFE. A LTHOUGH the modern Materia Medic Xi_ includes many valuable remedie or human afflictions, itis a matter of certuint that in all cases, where the animal vitality i falling, Phosphorus is decidedly superior t any other remedy at present known. It wil work effects such as nothing else will produce and it possesses the great advantage of no sousing, when its use is relinquished, th< slightest action or depression. The question naturally presents itself 'WII3 is so valuable an elemeut 30 little regarded and so seldom prescribed," The only answei which can be given is: — That a certain difficulty haß be:a found in so preparing il »nd olive, oi' 8 - in sulphuric ether, in rectified ilcohol, iti chloroform, and in several other lubstances ; but however valuable it haß been ound iv all the hitherto know methods ol ts preparation, certain irregular results have seen experienced, which, have led physicians o neglect it lor general purposes, and to employ it oUy in extreme cases and aftei every other remedy hus failed. But a chemical process has now been discovered, by which its invaluable action on the human system may be realised withou any of those drawbacks which previous modes of administration have invariably produced. 83T CAUTION. — Phosphorus t s sometimes Sold in the form of Pills and Lozenges; it should be generally known h' every form where solid particles of Phosphorus are in combination is dangerous. It is therefore necessary that the public should be cautioned against the use of any preparation ol Phosphorus not perfectly soluble in water. Protected by Royal Letter Vatent. NEW ZEALAND INTURnItionIl EXHIBITION, CHMSTCHUJIOH. Those tbat wish to be represented at the International Exhibition 10 oe held in Cbristchurch in March next, should inform us of their intention. We have been connected with all the international Exhibitions held in the colonies, At the late Adelaide Exhibition we represented 50 exhibitors, for whom we received 10 gold medals, 49 first, and one second, awards, three of which were New Zealand firms, (I ». Strang and J. T. Martin, Invert cargill, acd G.Bevau, Wellington.) Our pian is to represent the exhibitors, transact their business, fix tbe exhibit in its space, attend to the judging of exhibits and anything necessary while tbe Ex» hibiiion remains open, and at the close repack and send their goods back, or sell them or duplicates thereof if required. It is very inconvenient for Exhibitor to have to attend the Exhibition to fix their exhibits, and causes them not only loss of money which they must necessarily expend on them, then again tbe exhibi'ors have a benefit, they have no trouble in getting space, they inform us how much is required, and we secure it for them as we have a large auiuunt t/ranted to ua. We fix, &c, the exhibit on a better space than if they applied. Our terms are moderate. We specially caution tbe public anainsc giving their exhibits to so called Exhibition agents, who have been the rounds of all the Exhibitions, and run exhibitors into debt and other dilh'eulty.— Albert 6, Manders and Company, British and Colonial Manufacturers s Ageuts ; Head Office, 91 Little Collins sti, eet, East Melbourne; 67 King William slreei, Adelaide; Town Hall, Perth, Western Australiu ; P-rmauent Branch in Christchurch. — Ai>vj\
