New Advertisements. THE COLONIAL LAND SETTLEMENT AND ENDOWMENT ASSOCIATION OP NEW ZEALAND (Limited). ~ • VOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to IN the CATHOLIC PUBLIC of this Colony, that at an Extraordinary Ueneral Meeting of Shareholders held on the 26th inst., alterations hatte been made in the Memorandum and Articles of Association of " The Colonial Land Settlement and Endowment Association of New Zealand, (Limited)," which entirely change the first object of the Company, and constitute it a purely Mercantile awd Land Settlement Association. Catholics as such have, therefore, no other connections with the said Company than the mere fact of some of them holding; shares in it as in any other Mercantile .Company. What prospects of success the Company may now have, I leave others to judge. My opinion and that of all the competent persons whom I have been able to consult, baiug that the wisest and safest course for the shareholders is to take immediate steps to wind up the Company with the least possible expense.
