Friday, August 10. A~ partial "cleaning 'iip at this Company's battery on Monday last realised 71 ounces of retorted gold. This was the contents of the boxes, as the plates were not touched, it being thought best not to scrape them until the general cleaning up at the end pi the present month. The above yield is the result of 12 days' crushing, and' is regarded as satisfactory, although 4 .'. very considerable improvement nu y t .; be expected for the current mont u---The machinery is now all in full swing, the berdans also being at won.*' ' There is a decided improvement .u^ the appearaagg^qf. the plates for then? past week.
