A great improvement was observable in the quali y of the stone sent down to the battery during the week, and the scraping of the plates to-day showed that expectation was correct, for the return of amalgam was the best yet obtained. FIERY CEOSS EXTENDED. The crushing is proceeding very satisfactorily, and the result of the partial cleaning on Saturday shows that, a return of not less than loz. lOdwts. per ton may reasonably be expected.
