All Lands lienated from the Crown after the coming ate operation of " The Land Transfer A . 1870," are subject to, and must be dea* with, in manner prescribed by )he Act. The following are examples f the fee payable for bringing the land under the pro visions of the Land Transfer Act : — 1. When the Title consists of a Grant, dated on or subsequent to the 23th December, 1841, none of the land included in which has been dealt with — Where the Certificate of tit is directed to issue in tne name of the A lplicant : Value of land £100 fX) 11 2 Where the Certificate of title is directed to issue in the name of the Purchaser: Value oi land £100 1 10 0 These charges are increased by 4s 2d (Assurance Fund) for every additional £100 in value. 2. When the 'Applicant is the original Grantee, and the land had been dealt with ; or where the Applicant is not tho original Grantee — Where tbc value of the land is £100 £2 14 2 Where ttl value of the land £200 w 3 3 Where the value of the laud is £30 3 12 6 Where the vulue of the land is £400 4 18 Where tho value of land is above £400, the ices ncreuse at the rate of 4s 2d (Assurance Fund) for every additional £100 in value. These charges also represent the cost of Conveying Land. Inasmuch as applicants to bring land under the Act can direct the Certificates of Title to issue in the names of any other persons. Credit for Fees is Given, When desired by the Apj. liuant in all cases where tue proprietor applies to have the lund registered under the Act in his own name, and tne fe~« may remain unp until and s dealt with. Any person, therefore, who wishes to brinn his land under the provisions of the Act, ig order thai whenever he deuls with it he may be in a position to avail himself of the I facilities afforded by having a .Registered Title, can do so Witkout Any Present Cost, by allowing the fees to remain unpaid until such dealing takes place. He will then be in a position to Mortgage, r lY%isl'er, Lease, or otherwise deal with his land at a moment's i notice. Any Title, however long and complex, may be investigated at a cost to the Applicant of only Five Shillings ; for if the Title is re- > jected al fees are returned, with the exception \ oi' he rent.
