INGLE WOOD.
The conveyance of the machinery from Black's Point, where it has lain for some time past, to the machine site, is now fairly under way, but owing to the great and inexcusable delay in the completion of the road j contract, the work is rendered addi- \ tionally troublesome, as. porf ious of it have to be dropped on the journey, and the loading divided. There has been great laxity shown in the completion of the road, and both the Council and contractors are equally to blame. Had the road !>een completed according to the specifications the luglewood battery would .be now ' ciushing.
