THE LATE FIRE.
(To the Editor, Inangahxta Times.) Sir. — How me through your paper to publicly return • hanks for L 22, sent me (through Mrs Quigley) by three young ladies named Miss Mary Keeney, Miss Keevey. and vi iss M 'Gill. -rs Quigley when giving me the money said that L 25 5s 6d, was collected to give to the; above young ladie3 who lost their all in. the fire at her hotel on Monday night, bwt ihe young ladies refused to accept of it, and \ requested that L 22 be given to me and L 3 5s 6dto the little nurse-girl. Some of your readers will ask why was the money given iome ; why not give it to the Hospital, well Mr Editor, I have five young children, and am unable through illness to work at my trade, and my husband is in the Hospital. Hearing through rs Quigley of my poor circumstances the young ladies decided o hand the money over to me and I now return them my most sincere thanks. — I am, &c, Mrs. Pfafs 1 : PS. — I wish to mention the subscription waa quite unknown to the young
