GOLDEN PO INT COMPANY.
The battery' and mine are still idle, but it is understood that the company purpose making a start shortly to test . the reef at a deeper level. The rich- ' ness of the stone found on the surface of this mine' leaves no doubt of the existence of a < grand reef within its • boundaries and I have little doubt that a low level tunnel, or main shaft sunk on the course of the rich patch would , result in a discovery of importance. , The whole of the surface of the cojintry hereabouts is very broken, and no effort has yet been made to penetrate the solid formation, which exists *t no great depth. .-•
