CRICKET MATCH.
A friendly game of cricket .w.as .played | on Saturday last between an eleven of the 1 Reef ton Club, and an equal -number of Mr Willmott's theatrical company. The weather was beautifully tine, but the attendance of visitors was not so large as might have been expected. The Comedy Company won the toss and sent their opponents to the wickets, disposing of the local players for a total of 98. The Combination eleven then went in, and when the hour arrived at which it had been decided to draw the stumps, had put together 55 for the loss of, three wickets. Air Scott, who carried his bat out, ran up 25 for some of the nicest batting we have seen on the ground. Mr Teece also displayed some good cricket. On the ReefI ton side Messrs J. Lynch, Do-man, and Heaphy made a bold stand. The following are the scores : — Reef ton - First innings.
