The Inangahua Times, PUBLISHED TRI- WEEKLY. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 1884.

It will be observed that the recently cancelled mining lease of Ophir Company, Murray Creek, has been re-applied for under thenameof the "Khartoum Gold Mining Company," Mr Morris Levy being the applicant. At the fire brigade meeting on Wednesday evening last, it was decided to purchase a new fire-bell from Moutray's foundry, Nelson. The bell will weigh about 24 lbs., and be of the best material and manufacture. The County Council has undertaken to erect the bell. We publish this morning the memorial of association of the Golden Fleece United Company. The nominal capital of the company is £48,0 >v, in 48,000 shares, £'/A, OOO being already paid up. Mr G. W. Mos& is the manager of the company. We find that we fell unintentionally into an error in reference to the Boatman's State School. The institution is being carried on as usual under the efii cient control of Mr Russell, the headmaster, and it is not intended to make any change whatever in the present teaching staff. It is anuounced that the Presbyterian Church services will be discontinued for the present at Black's Point. Services will be conducted both morning and evening in the Oddfellows Hall, Reefton, on Sunday next. The Oddfellows Hall was crowded to the utmost extent last night, on the occasion of Mr Willmott's benefit, and the performance passed off capitally. For tonight is announced the glorious comedy of the " Gov'nor," and as this is the last opportunity a Reefton audience will have of witnessing the piece, the chance should not be missed. Our usual theatrical notice is unavoidably held over. Kidney and Urinary complaints of all kinds permanently cured with. Hop Bitters. Read.
