CHAMPION COMPANY.
At a meeting of Directors held at Nelson on Saturday night, it was reported that the winze oh the Champion was down 90 feet and on a good native copper. Although it is intended to carry this down another 10 feet, the directors resolved to call for tenders at once for commencing the main shaft. The drive work has beeen commenced, and is to be continued by two shifts, and the main drive on the Champion course is again being driven on, as also t ■(• No 2 d: iv"i . .
