The Murray Creek Cml Company mn6unce thrf i» fibott* fifl|it'ftn diiJ»%W they will be prepared to' deliver coal ift Reefton at 255. per ton. We publish to-day the balance-sheet of the Walhalla Company. - Some little stir exists at Ross about the quartz reef recently discovered at Ceder Creek, on the slope of Mount Greenland. Ab yet, the find is not of much importance. Odd pieces of stone may be broken off snowing a fine speck, but most of it is invisible to the naked eye, though when crushed and washed, a small prospect may be seen. Though we would deprecate any undue importance being attached to tho find, we think there are sufficient indications to . make a thorough prospect advisable. In the Rosa Company's shaft, sinking is steadily proceeding. A layer of- payable gold is now being passed through and in the tunnel from the No. 2 shaft good wash is being driven on. The work of getting the elevators in position is being pushed very energetically, and sluicing should commence at that point in about six Weeks time* The Mont DOr have washed up with a total of lOOozs. The dry weather operates against this and all other sluicing claims in the district. The Prince of Wales is steadily sluicing, bit want of water prevents it working up to more than one-fourth of its full capacity. When worn down and ready to take your bed, Hop Bitters is what you need to relieve you. See.
