HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
To the Electors of Inangahua, GENTLEMEN.— It is with great yJ regret that owing to the shortness of the interval that intervenes between the Election Day and the Meeting of the House of Bepresentatives, and by the pressure of urgent business, I find I am deprived of the pleasure of meeting you before the session. I had hoped to express in person tny sense of the honour which you have done me, and the confidence you have reposed in me in electing me to be your Eepresentative, but I now find myself compelled to convey my sense of that honour and confidence through the medium of the Press. Trusting you will assist me in my earnest endeavours to forward the interests of our common district, |>y furnishing me with full particulars of your local requirements, and that with that assistance I may be able to give a good account of my stewardship when I visit you after the close of the session, I am, Gentlemen, Yours obediently, A. A. S. MENTEATH.
