All Lands lienated from the Crown after the coming ate operation of " The Land Transfer A . 1870," are subject to, and must bedea» with, in manner prescribed by ?he Act. The following are examples f the fee payable for bringing the land under the pro visions iof the Laud Transfer Act : — 1. When the Title consists of a Grant, dated on or subsequent to the 28th December, 1841, none of the land included in which has been dealt with — Where the Certificate of tit is directed to issue in the name of the A iplicant : Value of land £100 &i 11 2 Where the Certificate of title is directed to issue in the name of the Purchaser: V^alue of land £100 1 10 0 These charges are increased by 4s 2d (Assurance Fund) for every additional £100 in value; 2. When the Applicant is the original Grantee, and the land has been dealt with ; or where the Applicant is not the original Grantee — Where the value of the land is £100 £2 14 2 Where the value of the land £200 3 3 Where the value of the land is £30 3 12 6 Where the value of the land is £400 4 18 Where tho value of land is above £400, the lees ncrease at the rate of 4s 2d (Assurance Fund) for every additional £100 in yalue. These charges also represent the coßt of Conveying Land. Inasmuch as applicants to bring land under the Act can direct the Certificates of Title to issue in the names of any other persons. Credit for Fees is Given, When desired by the Applicant in all cases where the proprietor applies to have the land registereu under the Act in his own name, and tne fe?s may remain unp until and is dealt with. Any person, therefore, who wishes to briun his land under the provisions of the Act, ig order thai whenever he deals with it he may be in a position to avail himself of the lacilities afforded by having a Registered Title, can do so Without Any Present Cost, by allowing the fees to remain unpaid uutil such dealing takes place. He will then be in a position to Mortgage, Transfer, Lease, or otherwise deal with his land at a moment's notice. Any Title, however long and complex, may be investigated at a cost to the Applicant ol only Five Shillings ; for if the Title is re* \ jeeted al lees are returned, with the exception ol he rent.
