Thenew pinion and spur wheel were shipped at Lytceltou en Thursday last and will be delivered at the machine site by Friday or Saturday next, and two-or three days laier the battery will be set going. The work of strengthening the framework of tho battery i? going on and will be finished by the end of the week GLOBE.
The work of adjusting the new wire on the aeral tramwhy having only been oompleted on Wednesday, the battery aid noi start until then, and having only being running four days there was no scraping of the plates to-day. During the week the mine manager repor tc-d to the directors that excellent gold had been struck in the wnize going clown. The reef at this point is from eight to ten feet thick, so that the discovery is one of great importance. Further particulars will no doubt be to hand in a day or two.
