All Lauds lienated from the Crown after the coming ote operation of " The Land Transfer A . 1870," are subject to, and mußt bedea) with, in manner prescribed by i)he Act. The following are examples f the fee payable for bringing the land under the pro visions of the Land Transfer Act : — . 1. When the Title consists of a Grant, dated on or subsequent to the 28th December, 1841, none of the land included in which has been dealt with — Where the Certificate of tit is directed to issue in tne name of the A iplicant : Value of land £100 ;. £t) 11 2 Where the Certificate of title is directed, to issue in the name of the Purchaser: Value of land £100 ... 7 ... 1 10 0 These .. charges' , are increased by 4s 2d (Assurance Fund) for every additional £100 in value. 2. When tbe Applicant is the original Grantee, and the land haR been dealt with ; or where the Applicant is not tho original Grantee — Where tbe value of tbe land is £100 ... ... ... ... £2 14 2 Where the value of the land £200 ...- ... 3 3 Where tbe value of the land is £30 ... ... 3 12 . 6 Where the value of the land is £400 4 18 Where tho value of land is above £400, tbe fees ncrease at the rate of 4b 2d (Assurance Fund) lor every additional £100 in value. Theße charges also represent the cost of Conveying Land. Inasmuch as applicants to bring land under the Act can direct the Certificates of Title to issue in the names of any other persons. : Credit for Fees is Given, When desired by the Applicant in all cases . where tue proprietor applies to have the land registerea under the Act in his own uame, and tue fe?s may remain unp until aad is dealt with. Axy person, therefore, who wishes to brinn his land under the provisions of the Act, ig order that whenever he deals with it he may be in a position to avail himself of the i facilities afforded by having a Registered^. Title, can do bo Without Any Present Cost, by allowing the fees to remain uupaid until such dealing takes place. He will then be in {_ position to Mortgage, Transfer, Lease, or otherwise deal with his land at a moment's notice. ' Any Title, however long and complex, may be investigated at a cost to the Applicant ol only Five Shillings ; ior if the Title is roI jected al fees are returned, with the exception oi he rept. ALL TITLES ARE GUARANTEED BY THE GuVERNMENT* On all Conveyances by Deed under the old system, the cost of registration iv the Deeds .Registry, over and ttbovo the Solicitor's charge, is never less than Fifteen. Shillings, frequently very much more; while land which hus been bought under tho provisions of " Tne Luud Transfer Act" can be transferred at a total cost of EleVen Shillings where a whole sejiioii conveyed; and where only partis conveyed (and therefore a liesli Certificate oi Title js tiecessiiated)j ,qt *_*_irity-ono Shillings, which is the higher iy',i>uui ullowed by the Act, no matter what 'the value or area ot the land.
