GLOBE.
The work of opening up for a new level is progressing very satisfactorily, and tlie size of the stone being carried down in the winzes goes to show that long before the upper level is exhausted the bulk of stone rendered available below will provide years of work for the battery. The company may be said to have now done with its outlay upon plant, so that henceforth the profit accruing from month to month will before long, provide a fund from which the shareholders may look to recoup them for their heavy and patient outloy. The tramway is now in perfect work and may be said to be almost self working.
