It is probable that a very strong opposition will be offered to the second reading of the Civil List Bill, introduced by the Government tv provide for an additional portfolio, that of Mines. The debate is expected to take place this evening, and will probably be a short one at this late period of the session. The House seems unwilling to entertain the proposal. The ball given last night by the members of the General Assembly was an exceedingly brilliant aud successful affair. Fully 500 guests were present.
